Spring Clean Your Skin Care Routine

Do you change your skincare routine each season? Many experience different skin challenges as the climate shifts throughout the year. That’s why it’s important to make a few simple changes to your routine as each unique season begins to ensure your skin remains healthy and radiant. As the weather starts to warm up, here are some of my favorite skin care tips for the spring and summer:

Out with the Old, In with the New: The spring is a great time of year to check the expiration dates on your skin care products. Toss anything that is past its expiration date or over six months old and be sure to give your makeup brushes a deep clean. Products with SPF will lose their effectiveness over time, so this is a good time to replace these products in particular.

Don’t Skip the Sunscreen: It’s important to wear sunscreen daily to help protect your skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays – yes, this even goes for darker skin tones. While you might not need a very high SPF (I do recommend at least SPF 30), sunscreen is important during this time of year as you’re spending more time outdoors.
