It is no longer fashionableto die of HIV/AIDS in Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA), Dr. Oluseyi Temowo has stated.Temowo, who noted that any death as a result of HIV/AIDS is unacceptable to the state government, argued that adequate measures are in place to check the spread, treatment and eradication of HIV in the State by 2030.
Speaking at the 4th flag off ceremony of the Health Initiative Programme for rural dwellers in Poka, Eredo LCDA, Epe in Lagos State, he maintained that with support of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the Agency has commenced full scale HIV Testing Services across the State in order to align with the 90-90-90 global initiative.
The event was organised by the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, supported by Wife of the state Governor, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode.
He said the Agency had reached the nooks and crannies of the state to conduct free HIV testing services and residents accessing free HIV Counseling and Testing Services across government hospitals in the State.
