R. Kelly has been arrested by the NYPD on sex trafficking charges in Chicago and is expected to return to the city, sources said.

The legendary R&B singer, 52, was taken into custody by NYPD detectives and federal investigators, according to law enforcement sources.

Kelly’s arrest comes after he was arrested on a slew of sexual abuse charges earlier this year.

In May, the “Ignition” singer was hit with 11 counts of sex assault in Illinois — charges that carry a mandatory minimum of six years in prison.

In February, the embattled R&B star was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims, three of whom were underage.

Kelly has pleaded not guilty in both cases and vigorously denied any wrongdoing.
