Speaking at the late Premier’s home, the leader of the delegation, Ogun State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye said that the delegates were on the tour to honor the selfless and sacrificial lives of their past leaders, learn from the history of their success stories and to appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Ogun State.
Appreciating the delegates’ visit on behalf of the late Premier’s family, his daughter, Ambassador, Dr. Mrs. Tokunbo Awolowo Dosunmu, noted that Medical profession was a noble profession which remained ever relevant in every society because the professionals were primarily called to save lives and ultimately preserve human existence.
She therefore urged the delegates to change the current negative narratives about the country through selfless service as exhibited by Nigerian past leaders like late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, late Alhaji Tafewa Balewa and late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
Stand for what is good because what is good will always be good and what is bad will always be bad. Take a cue from our past leaders by turning the country around if the future generation must not condemn us” she admonished.
